MAGNESIUM ANODES

Galvotec's magnesium anodes are produced in a variety of shapes and sizes for use in seawater, brackish water, and fresh water cathodic protection systems.

Our experience in producing galvanic anodes assures that you will receive top quality anodes that will effectively inhibit corrosion when used in a properly designed and maintained cathodic protection system.

Composition: Galvotec's magnesium anodes conform in composition to the requirements of U.S. Government Specification MIL-A-21412A (Ships). This 6% aluminum, 3% zinc alloy (AZ-63) usually provides the best combination of economy and operating characteristics in seawater or brackish water.

Applications: Magnesium anodes are effective and economical corrosion fighters that for over 25 years have been protecting a variety of steel structures in salt, brackish and fresh water.

ZINC ANODES

Zinc Anodes manufactured by Galvotec meet or exceed the industry standards. Zinc Anodes manufactured to the latest Mil-Spec also are covered by the ASTM-418-95 Type I Alloy. Other types of Zinc Anode Alloys manufactured would meet or exceed the latest ASTM-418-95 Type II Alloy.

Galvotec Manufactures Zinc Anodes for the following applications.

Zinc Hull Anodes are designed for the protection of various types of vessels such as ships, barges, and tankers. Anodes are available in many configurations including weld-on and bolt-on mounting systems.

Zinc Anodes for Bulkheads are typically used where Cathodic Protection is required on a wall within the hull of a ship, vehicle, or container.

Zinc Anodes for Piers and Pilings are typically used around docks and harbors.

Zinc Soil Anodes are used where soil conditions require the use of Zinc Anodes such as saline mud below 1200 F (500 C). These anodes would protect objects underground such a storage tanks, containers, and buried structures.
